Central Bark Canine Events LLC

Central BARK FAQ and COMMONLY REQUESTED POLICIES

We are trainers of canines and people for performance events, NOT specialists in dogs that have social or training challenges.

With that being said, quite a few dogs do very well even with *mild or manageable* reactivity issues IF they can be redirected to work at the sport we are training on.

All our sports have people and dogs present; so any dog in classes, lessons or events will eventually be around other (leashed dogs) and people.

If you have a dog with some issues to work through- it is best to seek a behavioral specialist to gain insight and tools before pursuing a dog sport.

We require an up to date rabies vaccination record before you can attend lessons or classes

All dogs should be on leash (please NO FLEXIs) and collar (preferably one they cannot slip out of!)

Little soft treats like sliced up string cheese or chicken

Poop bags are always a good item to bring in case you need to clean up

It is a good idea to show up 15 minutes prior to any lesson, event or activity to walk your dog and be prepared to learn!

For Barn Hunt we work with all breeds of dogs as long as they are not totally blind (safety issue).

Herding is one activity that we do that is rather breed specific because it requires a dog to want to herd sheep rather than chase them.

Earthdog requires terriers or dachshunds that can fit in a 9" by 9" wooden liner (so pretty small and pretty breed specific!)

We accept cash and check and PayPal (to info@central-bark.biz)
We cannot accept Canadian funds except through Money Order
Bounced Checks will be need to be paid in full and will be assessed a penalty to the full extend of the law.

All our fees include 8% NYS sales tax

Private Lessons:

If you can give 24 hours (or more!) notice there is generally no penalty. The more notice you can give the more likely I can fill the lesson.

If something happens at the last minute and you cannot make the lesson you MUST text.

Students that have a history of no call/no show private lessons will be removed from lessons

Group Classes:

Group class students that miss a class have the option (with prior communication) to attend a makeup class or punchcard.
